I reduce any phone calls, and only make up phone calls when it is really important. To those friends who tried to hear me in the phone; dammit, MM, jep, azri, thanks a lot. Nak-nak time banyak urusan event management macam ni. People will understand if they really wanted to listen. Yang face to face mudah je nak recognize what did I say kan even though I need to repeat them over and over for you. (:

Oke! Malam ni start makan Zithromax for fast action. It was laryngitis. I thought it was tonsilitis as I always have this kind of infection since last two years. I was at first kind of blur-blur why my skull started to swelll. From back of ear, to the occipital area then to the parietal area. But it is actually the lymph node.

Macam biasa, batuk-batuk then demam to the loss of voice.

Have you ever experienced the loss of voice? Or hear someone said, "I lost my voice."
Larynx is the source of our voice as there are two bands of muscle called vocal cords inside the larynx.

When we breath, vocal cords are relaxed and open while when we decide to say something, the cords come together. The small space between the cords caused the vibration when the air pass through them.

Laryngitis could occur when you scream a lot as for example in a sport's match, singing aloud also could cause an infection to this area. Our stomach also has the probability to cause larnygitis. Just like we have a tube for air to go into and out of our lungs, we also have a tube for food to go into our stomach. Sometimes the stomach acid that helps break down food, comes back up to the swallowing tube. The acid can irritate our vocal cords.

Did you ever notice that people who smoke a lot have rough, raspy voices? Ha, smoking can cause laryngitis too. Infections from germs are a very common cause of laryngitis (I think mine is due to this). Sometimes bacteria can infect the vocal cords, but most of the time it's the virus - like those that causes flu. That's why sometimes when we have a cold or a bad cough, our voice also sounds funny.

Thus, I met an ENT specialist yesterday, got the medicine and forgot to consume them. Teruk.

If you ever face this voice problem, meet your doctor to have some antibiotics, also please take lots of fluids and rest your voice by talking as little as possible. Kind of hard, aite? As many things just could not be explain by picturing them. For example; questions to be asked to the lecturers.

Tonight, when you open your mouth and say "good night," you will know where the sound of those words come from. And, if that "good night" comes out with terrible sound, you will know that it could be laryngitis! ;p

p/s: Today my hand started to feel numbness and I could not write properly. The disease is worsening but then I need to stay positive, Hiyark~!

when i got cough it will be either 1 month or more than that to cure. and it has been 2 years i haven't lost my voice again. i experienced this losing voice since i was in form 4(16 years old) till i was 22.
so i know how do u feel when u're trying to talk in that condition.

petua org2 tua...campurkan perahan sebji limau nipis dgn sesudu makan madu lebah. ada gak org ckp...kumur kat tekak ngan air+garam. but that 1 i won't recommend. hahaha. but best medicine of all...WATER. a lot of WATER.
